Fitbox is excited to partner with The Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport (DTIS) to launch the fitbox Business Academy – a free program designed to strengthen the capability of Active businesses by leveraging Knowledge, Innovation and Technology to address the current challenges facing the industry. The program is part of the new ActiveKIT funding program supporting the Active Industry and its businesses in Queensland.

Fitness is at the core of what we do, and who we are at fitbox. Our ecosystem is designed to support and grow the businesses within the fitness industry, whether they are CrossFit affiliates, Functional Fitness centres, Boxing gyms, Yoga studios or those running Personal Training businesses.  The fitbox Business Academy is suitable for every fitness business and provides an opportunity to deliver a boutique business solution to participants. 

Off the back of a challenging FY21, the Queensland Government is directly investing in initiatives to strengthen the capability of Queensland business to support their growth, ensure longevity and increase financial success. ActiveKIT is supporting the implementation of innovative solutions that contribute to improving participation rates across Queensland and improving the industry’s workforce capacity and capability and the financial health of organisations.

As a partner in the ActiveKIT program, fitbox will be running the fitbox Business Academy – a series of FREE workshops for Active businesses across key regional and metro areas. The workshops will provide targeted business training, tailored to each workshop’s unique participants.  The workshops will equip business owners with the skills to address current challenges and opportunities across areas such as building a more sustainable business, membership retention and engagement, expense management, online and digital opportunities, and increased costs due to the impact of COVID-19.

To introduce these free workshops, fitbox will be hosting a series of events in selected Queensland locations.  Key fitness business owners in each area and will have access to experts from across all facets of health and fitness – business, technology and more – plus provide an opportunity for owners, managers and coaches to network and exchange ideas.
